Children’s Holiday Tea

The Annual Children’s Holiday Tea raises funds to benefit the many children’s programs that the library offers to the community, as well as, to support the children’s collection.

This year, the Foundation is thrilled to welcome San Francisco-based artist Christian Robinson, illustrator for Linda Ashman’s “Rain”, as our featured guest.  For a second year, musical entertainment is being provided by Burlingame High School students.  Join us at the main branch on December 8, 2013 and celebrate the holidays with delicious “tea fare” and musical entertainment in a festive winter setting.

To purchase your tickets for the Tea, please visit our Eventbrite page.

In just three years the Tea has become so popular that last year it was moved from the Easton Branch to the larger Main Library. In December, 2012, Wisdom and Wonder, our Burlingame Library lions, welcomed over 200 children of all ages and their parents to celebrate the holidays with delicious “tea fare” and musical entertainment in a festive winter wonderland setting. The attendees were serenaded with carols by three Burlingame High School singers and read to by our wonderful library staff. The highlight of the event, however, was the appearance of children’s author/illustrator, Elisa Klevens, who entertained the children with her lively book reading and imaginative illustrations.
