Children’s Holiday Tea – 2014

The Burlingame Library Foundation celebrated its 5th Annual Children’s Holiday Tea on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at the Easton Branch Library. Wisdom and Wonder, our Burlingame Library lions, welcomed over 140 children and their parents to celebrate the holidays with delicious “tea fare,” musical entertainment and a book reading in a winter wonderland setting. The Easton Branch had never looked so festive!

The attendees were serenaded with carols by four Burlingame High School singers before being entertained by our featured author/illustrator, Christie Matheson. Ms. Matheson is the author/illustrator of Tap the Magic Tree, her first picture book. Her second book, Touch the Brightest Star, will be published in 2015. She is also an editor for Stroller Traffic and has written about lifestyle, design, and green living for many websites and publications.

We would also like to acknowledge the following community businesses and friends for contributing to the event so that all proceeds from the ticket sales could benefit the Burlingame Library children’s programs and collection.
